Is there something I am missing? Something I could try different? This is quite frustrating. I plan on taking one of those home today to see if the GPU i tried already is dead. This PNY card really should be reserved for signage where frame rate doesnt matter.

The 9100 runs my 5 4k monitors with ease a 60hz+. Much better if trying to run more than 4 4k monitors at once. I have used all of the components before with no Issue, the only difference is the GPU.Īs fortune would have it, I bought two more of the FirePros to upgrade two of my coworkers machines, both of which I built. Could only run 2 4k monitors and was dropping frame rate in a hurry. I am using an Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 with a AMD FX-8320 Proccessor. I have tested the who setup with a GeForce GTX560 from my old gaming machine and using that (and connecting it to the power supply) I can get an image. The only thing related to power regarding the FirePro is they recommend a minimum 500w PSU, bu the 750w Corsair PSU means that power shouldn't be the issue. However when I boot up my machine there is no video from any of the 4 DisplayPort sockets. Its maximum consumption is <75 watts so the PCI slot should have enough power for it. This FirePro card is not like any other GPU I have used before in that it does not take power directly from the power supply but rather relies on the PCI slot for power. I am having issues with my new AMD FirePro W5100 that I am building into a workstation at my office.
